Double-Chocolate Bumblebees
- 1 pkg. (8 squares) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, divided
- 6 Tbsp. butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 1-1/4 cups flour, divided
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup whipping cream
- 12 OREO Chocolate Sandwich Cookies, split in half
- 2 pieces black string licorice, each cut into 12 (2-inch) lengths
- 1/2 cup thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping
- 5 drops yellow food coloring
- Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Microwave 4 chocolate squares and butter in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min.
- or until butter is melted.
- Stir until chocolate is completely melted.
- Blend in sugar and vanilla.
- Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating with mixer on low speed after each until well blended.
- Add 1/4 cup flour and baking soda; mix well.
- Beat in remaining flour alternately with water, beating well after each addition.
- Spoon into 12 paper-lined muffin cups.
- Bake 21 min.
- or until toothpick inserted in centers comes out clean.
- Cool in pan 10 min.
- ; remove to wire racks.
- Cool completely.
- Bring cream just to boil in small saucepan on low heat.
- Add remaining chocolate squares; cook until melted, stirring constantly.
- Cool 10 min.
- Dip tops of cupcakes in chocolate glaze.
- Drizzle any remaining glaze over cupcakes.
- Use toothpick to make 2 holes in top of each cupcake; insert small licorice piece in each hole for the bee's antenna.
- Make 2-inch cut in top of each cupcake; insert 2 cookie halves, at an angle, in slit for wings.
- Refrigerate cupcakes 15 min.
- Tint COOL WHIP with food coloring; spoon into small resealable plastic bag.
- Cut off 1 corner from bottom of bag.
- Use to make stripes on bees as shown in photo.
- Keep refrigerated.
