Pork Apple-Pineapple Burgers
- 2 lbs ground pork
- 1 granny smith apple, peeled cored and chopped
- 1 sweet onion, finely chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 14 cup teriyaki sauce
- 1 egg
- 8 hamburger buns, toasted
- 1 (20 ounce) can pineapple slices, drained
- Combine pork, apple, onion, garlic, teriyaki sauce and egg.
- If dry, add a tablespoon or so of juice from pineapple.
- Form into 8 patties.
- Broil 5 minutes on each side.
- When turning, place 8 pineapple slices under broiler as well.
- (Alternatively, place on medium-high grill for 5 min on each side.

- Serve one pineapple slice and one burger on each toasted bun.
