Simple Summer Marinades

  1. GOOD SEASONS Italian Salad Dressing Mix - - prepared as directed or with one of the great variations listed below - - makes a great marinade!
  2. Pour dressing over meat or vegetables and marinate according to times listed below.
  3. Note: For food safety reasons, do not marinate meat and vegetables together and discard marinade after use.
  4. Tip: For a light summer meal, serve your grilled marinated meat over mixed greens tossed with additional prepared GOOD SEASONS Salad Dressing.
  5. FLAVOR VARIATIONS:
  6. Citrus Marinade: Mix 1 envelope GOOD SEASONS Italian Salad Dressing Mix, 1/3 cup oil and 1/3 cup orange juice.
  7. Italian Marinade: Mix 1 envelope GOOD SEASONS Italian Salad Dressing Mix, 1/3 cup oil, 1/3 cup dry white wine and 2 Tbsp.
  8. lemon juice.
  9. Teriyaki Marinade: Mix 1 envelope GOOD SEASONS Italian Salad Dressing Mix, 1/4 cup cider vinegar, 1/4 cup oil, 1/4 cup soy sauce and 2 Tbsp.
  10. honey.
  11. Margarita Marinade: Mix 1 envelope GOOD SEASONS Italian Salad Dressing Mix, 1/2 cup oil, 1/4 cup lime juice and 1/4 cup tequila.
  12. MARINATING TIMES:
  13. Beef: 1 lb.
  14. = 4 hours to overnight.
  15. Chicken: 1-1/2 lbs.
  16. = 1 hour to overnight.
  17. Fish: 1 lb.
  18. = 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  19. Vegetables: 1-1/2 lbs.
  20. = 30 minutes to 1 hour.
