Ham And Cheese Strata

  1. Mix butter and garlic.
  2. Spread over each slice of bread.
  3. Cut each slice of bread in cubes.
  4. Press into bottom of 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan with buttered sides down.
  5. Mix remaining ingredients; spread evenly in dish.
  6. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours (or you may fix this recipe in the evening and let it refrigerate overnight).
  7. Bake, uncovered, in 325u0b0 oven until knife inserted in center comes out clean, about 1 1/4 hours. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.
  8. Makes 6 servings, 475 calories per serving.
