Crab Casserole
- 1 can crab meat
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 small jar pimento
- 1 small bell pepper, chopped
- 1 small can chopped mushrooms
- 2 hard-boiled eggs, chopped fine
- 1/4 c. margarine, melted
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 c. milk (I use skim)
- 1 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 to 1 1/2 c. buttered bread crumbs
- Make a white sauce with the margarine, flour and milk.
- Cook over low heat and stir.
- Add Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper.
- Cook until begins to thicken.
- Add the other chopped ingredients and cook for 5 minutes.
- Add eggs, mushrooms and crab meat.
- Stir well.
- Put into a buttered baking dish and cover with 1/2-inch of buttered bread crumbs.
- This is most important.
- Bake at 350u0b0
- until brown, about 30 minutes.
- Makes 4 to 6 servings.
