Lasagne
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 lb. pork sausage
- 1 minced clove garlic
- 3 1/2 Tbsp. parsley flakes
- 1 Tbsp. basil
- 1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
- 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
- 3 c. cream cottage cheese
- 2 beaten eggs
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 c. Parmesan cheese, grated
- 10 oz. lasagne noodles
- 1 lb. Mozzarella cheese, sliced
- Brown meat slowly, draining off fat.
- Add garlic, 1 1/2 tablespoons parsley, basil, tomatoes and tomato paste.
- Simmer uncovered 30 minutes to blend flavors.
- Combine cottage cheese, remaining parsley, eggs, pepper and 3/4 cup Parmesan cheese.
- Cook noodles in boiling salted water until tender; drain.
- Rinse in cold water.
- Place half the noodles in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish; spread half the cottage cheese mixture over them, then 1/2 the Mozzarella cheese and 1/2 meat sauce.
- Sprinkle remaining Parmesan cheese over meat.
- Repeat layers.
- Bake at 375u0b0 for 30 minutes.
- Let stand 15 minutes before cutting into squares. Makes 12 servings.
