Maple Dumplings
- 1 23 cups real maple syrup
- 1 14 cups water
- 1 12 cups white flour
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 10 teaspoons butter
- 34 cup milk
- Mix all dry ingredients - cut in butter with a knife until the butter is the size of peas, mix in the milk gently to obtain a soft batter (not runny) do not overmix.
- Mix maple syrup and water in a pot that has a lid.
- Bring to a boil.
- Cook on low heat for about 5 minutes.
- (you can mix the dry ingredients while this is cooking).
- Place tablespoon full of batter one at a time in the boiling syrup, cover, let simmer 15 minutes without lifting the cover.
- Serve immediately.
