Maple Dumplings

  1. Mix all dry ingredients - cut in butter with a knife until the butter is the size of peas, mix in the milk gently to obtain a soft batter (not runny) do not overmix.
  2. Mix maple syrup and water in a pot that has a lid.
  3. Bring to a boil.
  4. Cook on low heat for about 5 minutes.
  5. (you can mix the dry ingredients while this is cooking).
  6. Place tablespoon full of batter one at a time in the boiling syrup, cover, let simmer 15 minutes without lifting the cover.
  7. Serve immediately.
