Party Meatballs
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 cup soft bread crumbs
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 tbsp. onion, minced
- 2 tbsp. milk
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
- 2/3 cup chili sauce
- 2/3 cup grape jelly
- Combine ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, onion, milk, garlic, salt and pepper.
- Form into bite-size meatballs using a rounded teaspoon for each.
- Brown meatballs lightly in oil.
- Cover, cook over low heat 5 minutes.
- Drain excess fat.
- Combine chili sauce and jelly; pour over meatballs.
- Heat, stirring occasionally, until jelly is melted.
- Simmer 10 to 12 minutes until sauce thickens, basting meatballs several times.
