Tomato Cheeseburger Pie
- 1 1/2 lb. lean ground chuck
- 1 Tbsp. minced onion
- 1/3 c. dried bread crumbs
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- dash of hot pepper sauce
- 1/4 c. catsup
- 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- 9-inch unbaked pie shell
- 1 medium tomato
- 1/4 c. grated Cheddar cheese
- Combine meat, onion, bread crumbs, pepper, hot pepper sauce, catsup, garlic salt, seasoned salt and egg; mix until blended. Spread meat mixture over bottom of pie shell.
- Bake at 425u0b0 for 25 minutes or until meat is done.
- Cut tomato in 1/2-inch slices; cut each slice in half crosswise.
- Arrange around edge of pie when pie is about 1/2 done.
- When pie is done, sprinkle tomatoes with grated cheese; return to oven until cheese melts.
- Cut into wedges to serve.
