Johnnycakes, Newport County Style

• 1 cup stone ground white cornmeal
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 2 cups hot water

1. Mix all ingredients together.
2. Mixture will be thin.
3. Spoon onto a buttered griddle in 5 inch rounds and fry until golden brown
