Pickled Pigs Feet

  1. Cook
  2. 4 front pigs feet until you can take the meat off the bones
  3. (use enough water to cover them).
  4. Add a few Whole Spice, and
  5. a
  6. piece of onion, just to give it flavor.
  7. Drain the soup off the meat, straining out the onion and spices. Cut up
  8. the meat
  9. into fairly small pieces, and put into separate dish, salt and pepper it as you like.
  10. (We always put a little garlic powder,
  11. just
  12. a little, or use a piece of garlic with onion
  13. when cooking
  14. meat.)
  15. Then pour the soup back over the meat,
  16. but just enough to cover the meat.
  17. Stir well, and set it on the cabinet or table until it cools.
  18. Scrape off the fat or
  19. grease, and discard that.
  20. Cover the meat and soup mixture with
  21. a
  22. lid, put into the refrigerator (not freezer) until it settles good, or is firm, and can be sliced.
