Apple Nut Pancakes (Motts) Recipe

  1. Heat skillet or possibly griddle to 325F.
  2. In large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking pwdr, baking soda, cinnamon, salt, apple and pecans; blend well.
  3. Add in lowfat milk, 3/4 c. apple sauce, margarine, and egg.
  4. Mix till large lumps disappear.
  5. Pour batter into warm skillet to create pancakes.
  6. Turn when edges look cooked and bubbles begin to break on surface.
  7. In medium saucepan, combine 1 1/2 c. apple sauce and syrup.
  8. Heat over low heat till warm.
  9. Serve hot over pancakes.
  10. Notes: Pantry: Mott's Regular Apple Sauce.
  11. Satisfy hearty appetites with these wholesome pancakes.
  12. Serve with crisp bacon strips and fresh fruit.
