Frozen Chocolate Cheesecake Torte

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. In a small bowl combine crumbs and butter; mix well.
  3. Press firmly into bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
  4. Bake 10 minutes.
  5. In a medium bowl combine cream cheese, sugar, vanilla and salt.
  6. Beat with electric mixer on medium speed until smooth.
  7. Add choclate and beat 2 minutes.
  8. Fold in whipped cream.
  9. Stir in pecans.
  10. Turn into baked crust; spreading evenly.
  11. Freeze eight hours or until firm.
  12. Cover tightly and store in freezer.
  13. Remove from freezer 1/2 hour before serving for ease in cutting.
