Chicken Or Crab Souffle

  1. Butter 2 slices bread, cut in small cubes and set aside.
  2. Cut the remaining bread in 1-inch cubes and put in bottom of 8 x 8 x 2-inch casserole dish.
  3. Combine chicken or crab meat, vegetables, mayonnaise and seasoning and spoon over bread.
  4. Put remaining unbuttered bread cubes over mixture.
  5. Combine eggs and milk.
  6. Pour over all.
  7. Cover and chill an hour or overnight.
  8. Spoon soup over top and sprinkle with butter cubes.
  9. Bake in a slow 325u0b0 oven for 50 minutes or until set.
  10. Sprinkle cheese on top last few minutes of baking.
