Florentine Dainties

  1. Preheat oven to 325F.
  2. Sift the flour and salt together and set aside.
  3. Combine the eggs and sugar and beat till very thick and lemon colored.
  4. Fold in flour mixture.
  5. Stir in the chocolate, dates, walnuts and lemon rind.
  6. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls, 2" apart, on cookie sheet lined with well-greased foil.
  7. Bake at 325 F for 12 to 15 minutes.
  8. Remove from cookie sheet, cool, and decorate with chocolate glaze.
