Oven Barbecued Steak
- 3 lb. round steak, cut 3/4-inch thick
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1/2 c. chopped onions
- 3/4 c. catsup
- 1/2 c. vinegar
- 3/4 c. water
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. prepared mustard
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. black pepper
- Heat oven to 350u0b0.
- Cut steak into 10 equal portions.
- Pour oil into skillet.
- Brown each piece of steak.
- Transfer to a roasting pan.
- Add onions to oil in the skillet and brown lightly. Add the rest of the ingredients to make a barbecue sauce and stir and simmer 5 minutes.
- Pour the sauce over the steaks in the pan. Cover.
- Bake 2 hours or until meat is fork-tender.
- (Baste meat occasionally with sauce in pan.)
