Chicken Parmesan Burgers

  1. Place tomato sauce in a strainer lined with a coffee filter.
  2. Drain water from the sauce and set aside.
  3. Combine ground chicken, pepper, salt and garlic powder in a large bowl with your hands.
  4. Form 4 equal-sized patties.
  5. Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium heat.
  6. Spray with cooking spray.
  7. Place patties in the pan and cook for 68 minutes on each side or until cooked through.
  8. When burgers are done, put them on the bottom of the toasted hamburger buns.
  9. Spoon 1/4 cup marinara sauce over the burger.
  10. Top with cheese and a basil leaf.
  11. Place the top bun on top and serve immediately.
