Slime-Stuffed Halloween Tunnel Cake
- 1 pkg. (16 oz.) pound cake mix
- 1 pkg. (3.4 oz.) JELL-O Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding
- 2 cups cold milk, divided
- 2 to 3 drops each green, yellow and red food coloring
- 1 cup thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping
- 12 worm-shaped chewy fruit snacks
- 1/4 cup assorted Halloween candies
- 2 Tbsp. Halloween sprinkles
- Prepare cake batter and bake as directed on package in 12-cup fluted tube pan or 10-inch tube pan.
- Cool cake in pan 10 min.
- Loosen cake from sides of pan with knife.
- Invert cake onto wire rack; gently remove pan.
- Cool cake completely.
- Place cake on serving plate.
- Cut 3/4-inch-thick horizontal slice from top of cake using serrated knife; set aside.
- With small knife, cut 1-inch wide and 1-inch deep tunnel inside center of cake, being careful to not cut through to bottom of cake.
- Remove and save cutout for snacking or other use.
- Beat pudding mix and 1 cup milk in medium bowl with whisk 2 min.
- Remove 1/2 cup pudding; place in small bowl.
- Add remaining milk to 1/2 cup pudding; stir in 2 to 3 drops of the green food coloring.
- Refrigerate until slightly thickened.
- Meanwhile, gently stir COOL WHIP into remaining pudding in medium bowl.
- Stir in 2 to 3 drops each of the red and yellow food coloring to make the mixture orange.
- Refrigerate until ready to use.
- Spoon thickened green pudding into tunnel of cake.
- Top with fruit snacks.
- Replace top of cake.
- Frost cake with orange pudding mixture.
- Decorate with Halloween candies and sprinkles.
