Peppered Meat Loaf
- 2 pounds beef chuck ground
- 1/2 pound sausage, bulk
- 1 each onions finely chopped
- 3 each garlic cloves, minced
- 8 ounces tomato sauce can
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 3/4 cups crackers saltine crackers, crushed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1-2 each potatoes peeled, cut into fingers
- 1 cup ketchup
- 13 cup sugar brown
- 1 1/2 teaspoon prepared mustard dry
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- Combine all ingredients except potatoes and sauce; mix well and shape into a loaf.
- Place potatoes in bottom of crockpot.
- Top potatoes with meat loaf.
- Mix sauce ingredients together well.
- Pour sauce over all.
- Cover and cook on Low for 8 to 12 hours.
- Serves 6 to 8.
