Easy! Microwaved Fluffy Steamed Bread using Pancake Mix

  1. Beat the egg in a heat-resistant bowl.
  2. Add the milk, vegetable oil, and salt.
  3. Use a whisk to mix.
  4. Add the pancake mix to Step 1 and stir until smooth.
  5. Lightly wrap with plastic wrap.
  6. Leave some space open on both sides of the bowl.
  7. First, microwave at a low temperature (150 W) for 8 minutes.
  8. Then microwave at a high temperature (500 W) for 3 minutes or 7 minutes at 500-600 W.
  9. Slide a rubber spatula between the bowl and the bread and move it all the way around to un-stick the bread from the bowl.
  10. It's done!
  11. If the bread still seems a bit raw, microwave for another 30 seconds.
  12. Microwaving at 500-600 W continuously has the chance of the batter becoming tough.
