Walnut Filled Cinnamon Rolls.
- 1 The base sweet bread dough
- 70 grams Walnuts
- 70 grams A) Granulated Sugar
- 2 tsp A) Cinnamon Powder
- 50 grams Granulated Sugar or Powdered Sugar
- 2 tsp Water
- Once the base sweet bread dough has finished the first rising, punch down the dough.
- Roll it into a round shape, and then cover it with a moistened and then tightly wrung out towel.
- Let it rest for 20 minutes after that.
- Mix together the A) ingredients.
- Finely chop the walnuts.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangular shape.
- (About 25cm x 45cm)
- On top of the dough, spread out the combined A) ingredients, and then sprinkle the walnuts.
- You put the walnuts in now, not after you have finished rolling it up.
- Starting from the bottom, roll up the dough and make sure that you close it tightly.
- Next, cut it into equal parts.
- Spray water on the dough and let the dough rise again for 20 minutes.
- Spray water on the dough once again and then bake them for 10-12 minutes in your preheated to 200C oven.
- Take the granulated sugar (or powdered sugar) and add water a little bit at a time until it becomes a paste-like icing.
- Once they have cooled, decorate with the icing and it's done!
