Deep Dish Pecan Pies (Makes 2) Recipe
- 1/2-3/4 stick butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. dark Karo syrup
- 3-4 Large eggs
- Dash salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Big bag pecans, some minced fine, some halved for top
- 2 deep dish pie shells
- Soften butter and cream.
- Add in sugar, syrup and Large eggs, one at a time.
- Add in salt, vanilla and minced pecans.
- Pour into pie shells.
- Place larger pecan pcs on top.
- Bake for 10 min at 375 degrees, then reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake till hard (about 35 or possibly more min).
- Be sure to beat well before pouring into shells.
