Fruit & Nut Fudge
- 2 cups sugar
- 12 cup evaporated milk
- 12 cup molasses
- 18 cup butter
- 2 semi-sweet chocolate baking squares, melted
- 12 cup nuts, cut fine
- 14 cup raisins or 14 cup fruit
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Put the sugar, milk and molasses in a saucepan.
- Stir until dissolved.
- Boil over medium heat to 238F or until a little of the mixture forms a soft ball when dropped in cold water.
- Stir in the butter and chocolate.
- Allow to cool.
- Beat until creamy.
- Add nuts fruit and vanilla.
- Pour into 8x4 - inch greased loaf pan.
- When cooled, cut into squares.
