Chicken Liver Pate
- 100g butter
- 500g chicken livers, trimmed Whole Foods 1 lb For $3.99 thru 02/09
- 1 onion, roughly chopped
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 teaspoons chopped rosemary
- 2 teaspoons chopped thyme
- 2 teaspoons chopped parsley
- 125g block PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
- 50g butter, extra, melted
- 125g CAPTAIN'S TABLE* Water Crackers, to serve
- Melt the butter in a large frying pan until foaming.
- Add the chicken livers, onion and garlic, and gently cook until livers are slightly pink and onions are soft.
- Place in a food processor with thyme, parsley and peppercorns and process until smooth.
- Add the Philly* and combine.
- Spoon the pate into small ramekins, drizzle with extra melted butter to seal and refrigerate until firm.
- Serve with water crackers.
