Soft Molasses Cookie Recipe
- 1/2 c. softened butter
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. molasses
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 1/2 teaspoon ginger
- 1 1/2 teaspoon grnd cloves
- 1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 Large eggs, lightly beaten
- 4 c. flour
- In a large bowl, cream together butter, Crisco, and sugar till light colored and fluffy.
- Beat in molasses and Large eggs; set mix aside.
- In another large bowl, whisk together flour, salt, baking soda, ginger, cloves, and cinnamon.
- Gradually mix flour mix into creamed ingredients till dough is blended and smooth.
- Roll dough into 1 1/2 inch balls and dip tops in granulated sugar.
- Place 2 1/2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 10 min.
- Don't overbake.
- Cold and store in tightly covered container.
- Yield: 3 dozen cookies.
