Biscochitos

• 1 cup sugar
• 1 cup butter softened
• 3 tablespoons sherry sweet
• 1 each eggs
• 3 cups flour, all-purpose
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 2 teaspoons star anise crushed
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/4 cup sugar
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon ground

1. Preheat oven to 350F (180C).
2. Mix 1 cup sugar, butter, sherry and egg in large bowl.
3. Stir in flour, baking powder, anise and salt.
4. Mix well.
5. Divide dough in half.
6. Roll each half 1/4 inch thick on lightly floured board.
7. Cut into shapes using cookie cutters.
8. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
9. Mix together 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon.
10. Sprinkle mixture over cookies.
11. Bake until golden brown.
