Picnic Bread Recipe

  1. Beat all ingredients except dates and nuts with electric mixer till smooth, about 2 min.
  2. Stir in dates and nuts.
  3. Turn into a greased and floured 9x5x3 inch loaf pan.
  4. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 1 1/2 hrs.
  5. Loosen sides and turn out.
  6. Cold completely.
  7. To soften crust, wrap tightly and let stand several hrs.
