Butterscotch Bars

  1. Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
  2. In a large bowl combine butter, sugar and brown sugar.
  3. Beat until creamy.
  4. Add egg yolks and vanilla. Beat well.
  5. Gradually blend in flour.
  6. Stir in oats, 1/2 cup nuts and coconut.
  7. Spread onto lightly greased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1-inch pan.
  8. Bake at 350u0b0 for 20 minutes.
  9. Cool.
  10. Melt over hot, not boiling, water the butterscotch morsels.
  11. Remove from heat.
  12. Spread evenly over cookie layer.
  13. Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup nuts. Chill for 10 minutes.
  14. Cut into 2 x 1-inch bars.
  15. Makes 75 bars.
