Strawberry Punch Bowl Cake

  1. Make yellow cake according to directions on box in round pans. Cool.
  2. Slice in half horizontally.
  3. Mix together boiling water and strawberry jello; add thawed strawberries.
  4. Refrigerate until gels. (Won't really get thick.)
  5. Make instant vanilla pudding according to directions.
  6. In punch bowl, pour a ladle of strawberry filling. Then put 1 layer of cake.
  7. Top with pudding and a heaping tablespoonful of Cool Whip.
  8. Pour a ladle of strawberry filling, then alternate cake, pudding, Cool Whip, strawberry jello, etc. Refrigerate.
  9. Before serving, put the rest of the Cool Whip on.
  10. A hit at parties!
