Jocelyn'S Special Pie

  1. About 3 1/2 hours before serving or early in day:
  2. Preheat oven at 350u0b0.
  3. In a heavy small saucepan over low heat, heat chocolate, stirring occasionally, until melted and smooth.
  4. Remove chocolate from heat; cool slightly.
  5. In a large bowl, mix eggs, sugar, melted chocolate and 1 cup corn syrup until smooth.
  6. Stir in peanuts. Pour peanut mixture into frozen pie shell.
  7. Bake pie 60 to 65 minutes, until a knife inserted one inch from edge of pie comes out clean.
  8. Cool pie on wire rack completely.
  9. Brush top of pie with 1 tablespoon corn syrup for attractive sheen.
  10. Makes 12 servings. Each serving:
  11. about 425 calories, 23 g. fat, 53 mg. cholesterol and 215 mg. sodium.
