Taco Casserole

  1. Put bacon fat in skillet; add beef, 1/2 cup onions and the garlic and saut, breaking up meat with fork, until onions are limp. Add consomm and wine and bring to a boil. Simmer 1 minute, then add next 5 ingredients and mix well. Add salt to taste and pour into casserole baking dish (9 x 13). Poke tortilla pieces into meat mixture and bake, uncovered, in preheated oven, 350u0b0, for about 25 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with cheese. Then top with remaining green onion, lettuce, avocado and tomato. Serve at once. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
