Smoky BBQ Brisket

  1. Place brisket in a gallon size Ziploc bag.
  2. Pour liquid smoke over the brisket.
  3. Add onion, salt and garlic salt.
  4. Seal the bag and put it into the refrigerator to marinate for a minimum of 3 hours, turning occasionally to redistribute the liquid.
  5. Preheat oven to 275 F.
  6. Remove brisket from the marinade and place it on a large piece of heavy duty foil.
  7. Discard the marinade mixture.
  8. Pour Worcestershire sauce over the brisket and fold the foil around the brisket and seal it up.
  9. Place it in a roasting pan.
  10. Bake for 5 hours.
  11. Then pull it out of the oven, unfold foil and pour barbecue sauce evenly over brisket.
  12. Bake for 1 more hour uncovered.
