Sweet 'N Sour Pork

  1. Brown pork strips in hot oil in large skillet.
  2. Add onion pieces and water.
  3. Cover and simmer approximately 20 minutes. Meanwhile, drain pineapple, reserving juice.
  4. Combine brown sugar, cornstarch, ginger and salt.
  5. Blend in juice, vinegar and soy sauce.
  6. Add this to pork along with green pepper (if using green pepper).
  7. Stir just until thickened and starts to bubble.
  8. Add pineapple chunks to mixture.
  9. Mix, by stirring.
  10. Serves 4 over fried rice.
