Jello Squares

  1. Mix together first 2 ingredients.
  2. Save 1/4 cup for topping.
  3. Press remainder in 9x9-inch pan and bake 15 minutes at 325F.
  4. Dissolve Jello in boiling water; add syrup.
  5. Let partly set.
  6. Whip Cream; fold in icing sugar.
  7. Fold partly set Jello mixture with cream mixture.
  8. Mix in the green and red cherries.
  9. Pour over cooled crumbs.
  10. Sprinkle remaining crumbs over top.
  11. Store in refrigerator overnight.
