Apple Cranberry Crisp
- 5 granny smith apples
- 13 cup fresh cranberries (blueberries or raspberries)
- 2 tablespoons white sugar
- 2 tablespoons light brown sugar (do not use dark brown)
- 1 -2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 34 cup flour
- 12 cup oatmeal (old fashioned)
- 14 cup white sugar
- 14 cup light brown sugar
- 11 tablespoons butter (slightly softened)
- Preheat oven to 375F.
- Lightly butter your 8"x8" baking dish.
- Combine apples, berries, white sugar, light brown sugar in a bowl and add to the baking dish.
- Combine flour, oatmeal, white and light brown sugars in a separate bowl.
- Add butter and mix with hands until crumbly.
- Pour melted butter over the apples.
- Cover apples with as much topping mixture as you feel necessary (you do not need to add the entire mixture).
- Bake for about 35-40 minutes until topping is golden in color, do not bake until fully browned.
- Serve with vanilla ice cream or whip cream (or both).
