Nuts About Fruit Cake

  1. In large saucepan melt butter over low heat.
  2. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Add KELLOGGS RICE KRISPIES cereal, fruit and pecans (if desired).
  5. Stir until well coated.
  6. Press mixture into six 4 1/2 x 2 1/2 x 1 1/2-inch pans coated with cooking spray.
  7. Cool.
  8. Remove from pans.
  9. Cut each cherry into 5 slivers.
  10. Arrange slivers in shape of flower on top of each loaf.
  11. In small bowl whisk together powdered sugar and orange juice.
  12. Spoon over loaves.
  13. Let stand at least 1 hour.
  14. Best if served the same day.
  15. MICROWAVE DIRECTIONS: In microwave-safe bowl heat butter and marshmallows on HIGH for 3 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes.
  16. Stir until smooth.
  17. Continue with recipe as directed above.
  18. Microwave cooking times may vary.
  19. NOTES.
  20. For best results, use fresh marshmallows.
  21. 1 jar (7 oz.)
  22. marshmallow creme can be substituted for marshmallows.
  23. Diet, reduced calorie or tub margarine is not recommended.
  24. Store no more than two days at room temperature in airtight container.
  25. To freeze, place in single layer on wax paper in airtight container.
  26. Freeze for up to 6 weeks.
  27. Let stand at room temperature for 15 minutes before serving.
