Salisbury Steak Dinner
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 c. fine bread crumbs (dry) or 10 crackers, crushed
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 2 cans cream of onion soup
- 1 Tbsp. ketchup
- salt and pepper
- Combine beef, 1/4 cup onion soup, bread crumbs, salt, pepper and eggs.
- Mix well and shape into oblong patties.
- Brush skillet with oil.
- Dip patties into flour.
- Brown both sides over medium heat.
- Pour off fat and arrange in a 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
- Mix remaining soup, 1/2 cup water, 1 tablespoon ketchup and 1 tablespoon sugar in small bowl.
- Pour into skillet and stir to loosen brown bits.
- Pour over patties.
- Cover with foil and bake 25 minutes.
- Turn patties.
- Bake 20 more minutes.
