Easy Onion-Dill Bread

  1. Mix cottage cheese and water in small microwaveable bowl.
  2. Add butter.
  3. Microwave on HIGH 1-1/2 to 2 min.
  4. or until mixture reaches 120F to 130F, stirring after each minute.
  5. Combine 1-1/2 cups of the flour, the yeast, sugar, onion flakes, dill weed, salt and baking soda in large bowl.
  6. Add cottage cheese mixture and egg; mix well.
  7. Add 1 cup of the remaining flour; mix well.
  8. Place dough on lightly floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, adding some of the remaining 1/4 cup flour if dough is too moist.
  9. Cover dough; let rest 10 min.
  10. Shape into ball.
  11. Place on well-greased baking sheet; cover loosely with plastic wrap.
  12. Let rise in warm place 45 min.
  13. or until doubled in volume.
  14. Uncover.
  15. Preheat oven to 350F.
  16. Bake 40 to 45 min.
  17. or until bread is golden brown.
  18. Immediately remove to wire rack.
  19. Cool completely.
  20. Cut into slices to serve.
