Ham, Egg & Lettuce Sandwiches
- 4 slice Sliced bread
- 2 Boiled eggs
- 4 pieces Ham
- 1 to 2 leaves Lettuce
- 2 tbsp Mayonnaise
- 1 dash Salt and pepper
- 1 dash Mustard
- 1 dash Margarine or butter
- Make boiled eggs.
- Refer to "How to Boil an Egg".
- Wash the lettuce and drain.
- Rip the lettuce leaves in half.
- Once the boiled eggs have cooled, peel the shells and finely chop with a knife.
- Add to a container and mix together with the ingredients marked with .
- Thinly spread margarine and mustard on the bread.
- Lay the ham, followed by the lettuce, then the mixture from Step 3.
- Place another slice of bread on top and sandwich the contents gently.
- Cut off the crusts with a bread knife and cut into 3 equal pieces.
- Serve on a plate or pack in a lunch box.
- If the bread has gone a bit hard, simply wrap it in some damp kitchen paper, then a layer of cling film and leave in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- If you cut the bread up once it has become more moist, it will result in a great tasting sandwich.
