Meatballs Hawaiian
- 1/4 c. milk
- 2 bread slices
- 2 lb. hamburger
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 2 cloves crushed garlic
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/3 c. soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/2 c. chopped celery
- 1/3 c. chopped bell pepper
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 1 (13 1/4 oz.) can pineapple tidbits
- 1 c. chicken broth (dried kind with water)
- 1/2 c. vinegar
- 1/2 c. light brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. ginger
- Soak bread in milk.
- Add hamburger, egg, 1/2 cup chopped onion, garlic, salt and pepper.
- Mix well.
- Make balls; saute in 2 tablespoons oil.
- Remove balls from pan.
- Saute celery, pepper and 1/4 cup chopped onion.
- Stir in pineapple, broth, vinegar, brown sugar and ginger; blend and stir into sauce of soy sauce and cornstarch.
- Add meatballs to sauce and simmer in 350u0b0 oven.
