Turkey Mushroom Patties with Gravy

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet.
  2. Add chopped mushrooms and crushed garlic.
  3. Cook until soft and translucent.
  4. Remove from heat and set aside.
  5. In a large bowl.
  6. combine ground turkey, Worcestershire sauce, breadcrumbs, egg, chopped mushrooms (reserve 1/4 cup for topping), and seasonings.
  7. Form into about 6 patties (depending on the size you want).
  8. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in the same skillet you cooked the mushrooms, and add half of the patties.
  9. Cook until brown on both sides and cooked through, about 7 minutes on each side.
  10. Remove and repeat with the remaining oil and patties.
  11. When all patties are cooked, place them in warm oven.
  12. In the same skillet, prepare the gravy.
  13. Melt butter over low heat.
  14. Sprinkle flour in and whisk for 3-4 minutes to form a thick paste.
  15. Increase heat to medium and whisk in broth and milk.
  16. Add seasonings and adjust to taste.
  17. To serve, top turkey patties with gravy and remaining 1/4 cup of chopped, cooked mushrooms.
