Cabbage And Potato Chowder

  1. In a large, deep saucepan, cook bacon until crisp.
  2. Remove. Set aside.
  3. Leave 2 tablespoons drippings.
  4. Add onion and red pepper; saute for 3 minutes, stirring often.
  5. Blend in soup, broth and cream.
  6. Add cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, garlic, salt and pepper.
  7. Simmer 10 minutes, just until vegetables are tender. Gradually blend in cheese.
  8. Garnish with bacon.
