Scripture Cake(King James)

  1. The easiest way to make this big cake is to cream softened butter and sugar with an electric mixer.
  2. Add eggs, one by one, then honey and water.
  3. In a separate bowl, place all dry ingredients and stir until thoroughly blended.
  4. Stir in chopped fruit and nuts and finally, the butter/sugar mix.
  5. Beat well and pour into buttered, lightly floured 9 x 13 x 2 1/2-inch baking pan. Bake at 325u0b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
  6. Start checking, however, when cake has been baking for an hour.
  7. This cake will serve 30 to 40!
