Candy Bar Bars

  1. Combine butter and peanut butter and beat well with mixer.
  2. Add brown sugar and baking soda; beat til blended.
  3. Stir in flour and oats by hand.
  4. Set aside 1-3/4 cups (425 ml) of this mixture for use later.
  5. Stir egg into remaining crumbs; mix well.
  6. Pat into greased 13x9" pan.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees (175 C.) for 15 minutes; remove from oven.
  8. Pour sweetened condensed milk over top.
  9. Sprinkle with the chopped up candy.
  10. Sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture.
  11. Return to oven and bake 22 to 25 more minutes until light brown.
  12. Let set.
  13. Cut into squares.
