Heart Shaped Sugar Pie
- 1 Pie crust
- 1 Granulated sugar
- Refer toto make a pie crust.
- Follow the procedures until step 7.
- Roll it out until 1cm thick and divide into thirds.
- Take one third and roll it out until 3mm in thickness (mine turned out to be about 12cm by 20cm).
- Repeat for the other two pieces.
- Cover dough with a decent amount of granulated sugar.
- If the dough didn't roll out neatly, chop of the four ends.
- Fold the edges in towards the center, as seen in the photo.
- Fold that in half.
- Press down the dough to secure and stick.
- Wrap up in plastic wrap and chill in freezer for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 190C.
- Slice dough into about 5mm-thick pieces.
- Cover one side with granulated sugar.
- With the sugared side facing up, align on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes at 190C.
- Take out when golden brown.
- After they're cooled down, make sure to store in a secured bag to avoid humidity!
- There will be lots so you can give some away as gifts.
- When making 50 pies use 60g bread flour, 60g cake flour, 100g butter, 50ml cold water, cut in half, then proceed to step 2.
