Easy No-Knead Bread

  1. Combine first 4 dry ingredients in a large mixer bowl.
  2. Heat next 3 ingredients in a saucepan over low heat until warm.
  3. Add egg and warm liquid to combined flour mixture.
  4. Blend at lowest speed until moistened, then beat 3 minutes at medium speed.
  5. By hand, stir in another 2 1/2 cups flour to form a stiff batter. Cover dough; let rise in a warm place until light and doubled. Stir dough down; spoon into greased 9 x 5-inch loaf pan or 2-quart deep round casserole.
  6. Bake at 375u0b0 for 45 to 50 minutes or until loaf sounds hollow when tapped.
  7. Remove immediately; brush with butter.
