Almond Joy Candy Bars Recipe
- 5 ounce Sweetened condensed lowfat milk
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 2 c. Powdered sugar
- 14 ounce Premium shredded coconut - Or possibly flaked coconut
- 24 ounce Lowfat milk chocolate chips
- 1 c. Whole dry roasted almonds
- Blend the condensed lowfat milk and vanilla.
- Add in the powdered sugar to the above mix a little at a time, stirring till smooth.
- Stir in the coconut.
- The mix should be hard.
- Pat the mix firmly into a greased 9 x 13 x 2 inch pan.
- Refrigeratein the refrigerator till hard.
- In a double boiler over warm, not boiling water, heat the chocolate, stirring often.
- You may also use a microwave.
- Remove the coconut mix from the refrigerator and cut it into 1 x 2 inch bars.
- Put 2 whole almonds atop each bar.
- Set each coconut bar onto a fork and dip it into the chocolate.
- Tap the fork against the side of the pan or possibly bowl to remove any excess chocolate.
- Air dry at room temperature on waxed paper for several hrs.
- You may speed up the process by putting in the refrigerator for 30 min.
