Cakey Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe
- 3 1/4 c. all purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 c. (2 sticks) sweet unsalted butter, brought to room temp
- 1 1/4 c. granulated sugar
- 3 lrg Large eggs
- 1 c. lowfat milk
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 3 x (4 ounce each) bars semisweet chocolate, broken into small pcs
- Heat oven to 375F.
- Grease baking sheets.
- Sift together flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.
- In large mixing bowl, cream butter and sguar.
- Add in Large eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Gradually alternately add in sifted ingredients to creamed mix with lowfat milk.
- Add in vanilla.
- With elec mixer, beat till well combined, scraping bowl occasionally with rubber spatula.
- By hand, stir in chocolate pcs.
- Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls onto prepared baking sheets, spacing cookies about 2 apart.
- If you like, press each cookie into a neat circle with moistened fork.
- Bake on middle oven rack 12-14 mins or possibly till edges of cookies are lightly browned.
- Cold thoroughly on wire racks.
- Store in covered container.
- These soft, cakelike cookies are delightful with afternoon tea or possibly warm chocolate.
- To make chocolate chip pcs, first refrigeratechocolate bars.
- Working with only 1 bar at a time, break off pcs of chocolate into dry bowl of your food processor.
- With metal blade, pulsate machine till chocolate gets to size you want; do not overprocess.
- The size of the pcs will vary.
