Cider Stew

  1. Combine the flour, salt pepper and thyme.
  2. toss with meat to coat well.
  3. In dutch oven brown meat in the oil.
  4. Stir in apple cider, water and vinegar.
  5. Cook and stir constantly until it comes to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for about 1 1/2 hours or till meat is almost tender.
  7. Add carrots, potatoes, onions, celery, and apple.
  8. Cook another 30 to 40 minutes or until the meat and veggies are tender.
