Sweet Onions
- 2 lbs white pearl onions
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 12 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon water
- Onions should be blanched in hot water for 3 minutes.
- Remove from water and remove onion skins.
- No further cooking is necessary.
- Melt butter.
- Add salt and sugar.
- Stir in the water.
- When blended, add the onions and coat well.
